Flower Hill Fleeces
Flower Hill Farm is situated on 230 rolling acres in Armstrong County Pennsylvania and serves as home for a growing flock of registered Shetland and Icelandic sheep (in addition to 3 dogs, 2 cats and a varying number of free range laying hens). Carefully bred and selected for their quality fleeces, the sheep of Flower Hill Farm are tended to by Jodi Horgan, who owns the farm and is an avid spinner and knitter. Jodi knows that happy sheep produce the best fleeces, and her sheep are cared for with love and attention. Sheltered by a restored Pennsylvania bank barn and with access to well fenced pastures guarded by Bear, a Great Pyrenees/British Mastiff mix, Jodi’s flock produces very fine lambs and fleeces. Flower Hill Farm is also a member of the North American Shetland Sheepbreeders Association (NASSA). The Home Grown yarn collection is produced using wool from our flock. These are one of kind skeins of yarn curated based on natural colors of the sheep raised on our farm. Our Home Grown yarns are spun by a small family run wool mill located in Western Pennsylvania.

We have Honey Bees and the best tasting pure filtered honey! I make bee's wax candles and bee's wax food wraps from our wax. Our fields are pollinator friendly fields that we have undertaken as a project after our horses moved to Ohio. I also have been a member of the Loyalhannon Spinners for over 20 years- so I have a diverse fiber back ground- spinning, weaving, dye work shops & , rug hooking . The Kinsinger family from Meyersdale, PA, will be with us again offering a delicious assortment of baked goods including breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, gobs, and pepperoni rolls. They also offer sheep milk soap and lotion bars made using milk and tallow from their own sheep and raw fleeces from Corridale, Cum Romeldale and others. Left at the Fork in the Road has many branches. I repurpose vintage silverware, knitting needles, crochet hooks, silver plate items and also cigar boxes into useful, eclectic and fun creations ~ including the typical jewelry items and expanded to include shawl pins, stitch markers, crochet hooks, needle minders, knitting needle & crochet hook earrings and needle wind chimes just to mention a few fiber related items. Lippencott Alpacas
We are the only alpaca breeding farm in Greene Co. for 17 years. We have a Farm Store filled with alpaca socks, gloves, hats, glittens, vests, stuffed animals and a variety of Peruvian, USA yarn and yarn blends in DK, worsted and fingering weights. Alpaca fiber is softer, lighter, less scratchy and wicks away moisture better than sheep wool. It doesn't hold in odors. More people can wear quality alpaca items. There are six grades of alpaca fiber. Grade 1 (Baby-meaning finest) and grade 2 are made into quality yarns. Some yarns are blended with bamboo, tencel and merino wool etc. as well as sparkle additives that enhance the yarns. Other slightly coarser and coarser grades are made into socks, gloves and outer wear vests and coats. The very coarse grades are made into rugs, dryer balls, stadium seats and boot inserts. Underhill Farm
The farm currently raises a heritage breed of sheep, Leicester Longwools, as well as Angora goats that graze on the rolling hills of the area. Their fleeces are processed into lustrous, beautiful yarns. The farm had been without sheep for a few years, so we decided to research which breed of sheep would best fit with the terrain and local climate as well as our own needs. The chosen Leicester Longwool Sheep have proven a clear winner. These animals do extremely well in our area. The Angora goats arrived by accident when a friend offered us two goats to determine their suitability to the farm and to us. The goats have stayed on, multiplied, and proven a great source of Angora wool to blend with the wool of the sheep into wonderfully lustrous yarn.

Keri also creates small batch, hand crafted solid lotion bars and sews project bags. Each batch of lotion is made with organic beeswax, either coco butter or shea butter, and coconut oil. Essential oils are used for fragrance. All project bags are sewn in our smoke free home.
